Kimberly Keen is the founder and principal attorney at Keen Family Law APC. She handles all divorce cases from simple to complex.
Ms. Keen's approach is grounded in resolving matters in an amicable and cost-effective manner. She prioritizes a pragmatic approach focused on resolutions rather than conflict. She has experience litigating issues of support, property division, custody, restraining orders, and all other family law issues. and taking them to trial.
Her clientele have included stay-at-home parents, active duty military, corporate investors, doctors, engineers, and professional entertainers.
In addition to serving as counsel and advocating on behalf of clients, Ms. Keen is a trained mediator. Ms. Keen employs a methodical and collaborative approach when serving as a neutral and aims to guide parties in reaching a mutually agreeable resolution, preserve important relationships and assets, and keep their matter out of court.
Ms. Keen understands the emotional and financial strain associated with divorce and possesses a unique ability to stay grounded, giving clients their options and working well with opposing counsel, experts, and professionals in the field to gain advantageous results.
Ms. Keen has been named as a Super Lawyers Rising Star for 2024, 2025, and 2026. She was also awarded a Top Attorney in San Diego in 2024. She is an active member in the San Diego Family Law Bar Association and Lawyers Club of San Diego. During 2025-2026, Ms. Keen served as a co-chair on the executive board of the Advocacy and Reproductive Justice Committee. She is also a sitting commissioner on the San Diego Commission on the Status of Women and Girls, appointed by District 3 Supervisor Terra Lawson-Remer.
